Free generator

Creating models and downloading STL or 3MF files is free and needs no account. Geographic data may be incomplete and generated models may differ from reality. Check the preview and your slicer before printing.

Downloads are subject to the daily IP limit shown before export (10 different models by default). A day starts at midnight in Europe/Prague. The same model configuration, its formats, picture tiles and frame count together; a different location, size or appearance is another model. PNG and attribution documents are excluded. All users of the same IP share the limit. We count authorised download starts, not confirmed saves to disk.

Free-service rules and resale

We provide the free generator for personal projects. Contact us before using the service for bulk or commercial projects. Bulk automated downloads and circumvention of service limits are not permitted.

These rules govern access to the service; they do not change open-data licences or the rights they grant. ODbL and CC BY permit commercial use subject to their conditions. We therefore do not claim that mapSTL.com has an exclusive right to sell all map prints. Rights in particular buildings or other works must be assessed separately.

Inquiry followed by agreement

The website form submits a non-binding inquiry. An automatic summary or an administrative status change does not conclude a contract. After review we send a final offer specifying the model, dimensions, material, colours, the final price and a separately stated delivery charge, payment details, delivery deadline and these terms. A contract is concluded only when you explicitly accept this offer by e-mail. You can cancel your inquiry free of charge before acceptance. You may correct your details and model settings before submitting; arrange later changes by e-mail. We send the offer, accepted contract and applicable terms by e-mail in a form you can keep. Contracts are concluded in Czech and are not publicly accessible; you can request a copy. Communication incurs only your normal internet or phone provider charges, with no surcharge from us. Keep the offer and confirmation.

Dimensions, colours and price

The printing volume is at most 28 × 28 × 28 cm; each model is checked for printability. We use the mapSTL.com PLA palette. Displayed colours may differ from filament. Price ranges for custom models are approximate; gallery prices apply to the specified configuration per piece, excluding shipping unless stated otherwise. You agree the final price and delivery deadline before payment. The seller is not VAT registered; VAT is not added to the accepted final price. Production and delivery follow the agreed deadline; unless another period is agreed, delivery is within 30 days of concluding the contract. Payment is by bank transfer to the account and by the deadline stated in the offer; there are no customer credits. We e-mail a purchase receipt. Delivery is within the Czech Republic to an agreed Zásilkovna pickup location.

Defects and claims

A consumer may report a defect present at delivery which becomes apparent within two years of delivery. A defect appearing in the first year is presumed to have existed at delivery unless the nature of the goods or defect rules this out. Claims are not limited to 14 days. Submit a claim to mapstl@vladimir-vecera.cz or Vladimír Večeřa, Sehradice 197, 763 23 Sehradice, Czech Republic. Describe the defect and requested remedy and provide evidence of purchase, such as your order reference. Photos may help but are not a condition of exercising your rights. We provide a claim receipt and settle the claim, including remedy and notification, within 30 days unless a longer period is expressly agreed. Depending on statutory conditions, remedies include repair or replacement and, where applicable, a reduction or withdrawal. For a justified claim we reimburse reasonable necessary costs, including necessary postage. Repair or replacement may be limited by impossibility or disproportionate cost; reduction or withdrawal is available in statutory circumstances such as failure to remedy, repeated or serious defects. An insignificant defect does not entitle withdrawal. Failure to meet the claim resolution deadline entitles the consumer to a reasonable reduction or withdrawal. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

Withdrawal

For ordinary goods bought at a distance, consumers may withdraw within 14 days of receipt without giving reasons. The exception for goods made to a consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised is assessed for each product; it does not automatically apply to every print or a standard selection of offered options. Any applicable exception is explained in the offer before you enter the contract. Defect rights also apply to custom goods.

Where withdrawal is available, send a clear notice within the deadline to the e-mail or postal address above. Return goods to Sehradice 197, 763 23 Sehradice, Czech Republic. Return the goods within 14 days of withdrawal; you bear direct return costs. We refund the amount paid, including the cheapest offered standard delivery, within 14 days of withdrawal. We use the original payment method unless another method is agreed without extra cost. We may withhold reimbursement until the goods are returned or evidence of return is provided, whichever happens first. Statutory liability applies to any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to establish the goods’ nature, characteristics and functioning.

Out-of-court dispute resolution

If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, consumers may contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Prague 2, ADR information. A proposal must be submitted within one year of first asserting the right with the seller.

Terms for your free account

By registering and accepting these terms, you enter a free, indefinite agreement for a mapSTL.com account. It lets you save private maps, custom colours and settings and view related enquiries. Printing is a separate service; registration does not order a print. These terms apply to accounts created from this version’s effective date.

Use an e-mail address you are entitled to use and protect your password. A nickname is allowed. Do not upload unlawful content, infringe others’ rights or disrupt the service. We may proportionately restrict access in response to abuse and explain the reason and available remedies by e-mail, unless security or legal requirements prevent this.

You may end your account at any time without charge in account settings or by e-mailing us; its maps and palettes are deleted. Downloaded files remain on your device. Separate printing contracts and lawful data retention are unaffected. You can save or print these terms from your browser. Map provider availability and computational demands may temporarily limit generation; statutory rights remain unaffected. Registration does not give marketing consent or permission to publish maps.

Applicable law and effective date

These terms are governed by Czech law without depriving consumers of mandatory protection that would otherwise apply. Each print is governed by the offer and terms accepted when its contract was concluded; later website updates do not change them retrospectively. The seller handles questions and complaints using the contacts above.

Licences and rights review

The specific model requires a rights review before confirmation and manufacture. Unapproved or rejected cases cannot proceed. Free model generation does not itself clear rights in protected buildings or artwork. Complete licence information and terms for sharing and printing.
